Through out the years Luke has appeared in several guises and with multiple variations, received a hair change, (I kicked that off - I swear someone from Lego reads this site), and has now had four face lifts matching Vader in something like 20 plus sets up to 2010. Of course one of Star Wars' main characters, he is also Lego's main character and constantly appearing in a variant format from set to set, the 16th incarnation returning to the set that kicked off the Classic Lego set line in 2010's new Luke's Landspeeder. His 17th version will arrive later this year and I expect with his new face and newly designed pilot, number 18 isn't that far off either.

The first Luke of them all and one of the best, great simplified detail that captures all the characters uniqueness in a quick glance... Note that flesh versions appear on the web, be sure to check the neck on the torso match the head colour.

TATOOINE   CODE: sw021 SET/S: 7110, 7190, 4501

From the redesigned Falcon, Luke takes on a fleshed appearance, everything about this fig is improved, even the fact they've applied long tan hairpiece to it, (I still say Lego have copied my original custom, but a logical move when you think about it). The whole figure is now even cooler than the first one and even the hip joint has detail - awesome.

TATOOINE UCS   CODE: sw176 SET/S: 10188, 10179

What do we have here, yet another version of Tatooine Luke, what's different from the the UCS version, just the face, everything else is the same.

Note the eye's are bigger and with reflection dots - comic style, oh dear were going to get a heap of rehashed characters, although I think it's about time Leia and Han had a make over.

But still, I do like it and think it looks kinda polished and if Lego lean towards their "Clone Wars" animated style, it could throw up some nice surprises.

TATOOINE 2010   CODE: sw273 SET/S: 8092

The only real standout feature for this fig is the helmet, but when taken into context of the movie, he had only just joined the rebel alliance and therefore any old helmet would have done.

This image has been retaken, hopefully to show the hip colour compared to the Alt version below.

PILOT I   CODE: sw019 SET/S: 7130, 7140, 7142, 4483

This version has eluded me for such a long time I thought I was never going to find it. But then finally someone on Ebay done the right thing and actually listed it with the set number. this has bluish gray hips compared to the previous versions dark gray ones.

PILOT II
  CODE: sw019a SET/S: 4500

This is the fleshed version of the above, you'll note the hip joint is the lighter bluish gray, (a note for collectors there). Obviously this also has the redesigned face as well.

PILOT III   CODE: sw090 SET/S: 6212, 7666, 10178

Cutting short his training with Yoda, Luke felt his friends where in danger and quickly left for Cloud City to help them. This is the second fig to appear with detail on the legs and for that marks higher in my opinion.

CLOUD CITY   CODE: sw103 SET/S: 10123

As he appears on revealing himself to Jabba and to bargain for his friends release.

JABBA'S PALACE   CODE: sw079 SET/S: 4480

This came in one of those fig packs released a few years back. Note the newer styled face.

JEDI MASTER   CODE: sw044 SET/S: 3341

The original two hand yellow version.

SKIFF   CODE: sw020 SET/S: 7104

From the large play set that also included the Desert Skiff, this set was fleshed out.

For collectors only; Also available in a limited 3 pack 2009 San Diego Comic Con exclusive limited to 300 only, with Admiral Ackbar and Crix Nadine.

SAIL BARGE   CODE: sw083 SET/S: 6210

A slight variant from the one above, the right hand is black.

DEATH STAR UCS   CODE: sw207 SET/S: 10188

The last incarnation for Luke as he faced up to his father and the Emperor. Mine has the print worn away a little, I can't remember if I got it like this when bought it, (back in the days when I bought the play sets), or what, but I kind of think it looks good and battle weary.

FINAL DUEL   CODE: sw068 SET/S: 7201

As he appeared for the ground assault on the Shield Bunker, quite a nice design on the torso - had to check eBay over the gloved right hand but correct.

ENDOR   CODE: sw018 SET/S: 7128

This closely resembles the clothes he wore whilst training under Yoda.

Note this also comes with a backpack and with the images I've seen from the set shows both configurations.

DAGOBAH   CODE: sw106a SET/S: 4502

Lego continue to use the long tan hair piece which I first done a while back and I'll keep mentioning it till I get the recognition.
