IMPERIAL OFFICER I
CODE: sw046 SET/S: 7201
This happy jolly fellow unfortunately ranks quite low with me, because of the standard smiley head - hence why I customed one with a more serious face, if Lego released it like that it would have done better.

This is so much better. Here they use a civil war hat which is so much better suited and the fleshed out face has a slight menace about it. Overall a vast improvement on the previous offering and therefore rates higher.

Oh dear, again Lego decide to let themselves down again, whilst the other version of this has a good face, this one reverts back to the same old smiley face - this was a good opportunity to give a different design or even perhaps even a named character. |

Nothing really new here except for the fact the face is the same as the AT-AT officer sw261.

AT-AT OFFICER
CODE: sw261 SET/S: 8084
This is so much better than the General Veers offering. The torso detail is quite good and on both the front and back, (image will change on mouse over). Face has a nice little menace about it.
And now a major gripe, (and how I do like to moan), what's with the light gray helmet? This colour would have been better on the AT-ST Driver because of his light uniform and his darker more military gray helmet on this one and match the uniform exactly...
As usual Lego themselves down by something so simple and what I think what's also so flippin' obvious! |

GENERAL VEERS I
CODE: sw178 SET/S: 10178
WHY? WHY? OH WHY!!! I feel Lego just can't be bothered sometimes, to name this fig Veers is totally wrong, first off what's with the visor head taken from the AT-ST driver? Veers appeared in the movie with his goggles attached to the helmet!!! Just look at the second Veers in CUSTOMS for how it should have been. Secondly the rank is completely wrong and of a standard Imperial Officer torso, should be four across not three. Am I being too critical? I don't think so.

GENERAL VEERS II
CODE: sw289 SET/S: 8129
Okay, the griping over this character continues; as of late LEGO appeared to have turned a corner and for 2010 were putting that extra bit of effort into their figs, but this I'm afraid this goes backwards and makes a dire charactization nearly as bad as the Wedge offering. On first glance you would be mistaken for thinking this was the AT-AT Officer, but for a slight facial difference these two figs are completely identicle. The only major difference being the lip shadow, this has a brown one whilst the Officer has a black one and the Han like smirk is down turned. Whilst the torso design has been replaced from its first incarnation the ranking is still wrong. Finally don't pay over the odds for this one, on my research, the head piece is the same as the Hoth Trooper from the Battle pack (sw259) - the Hoth Trooper from this same set as Veers here has the head from the AT-AT Officer - SHEESH! What a mess... |

GRAND MOFF TARKIN
CODE: sw157 SET/S: 6211, 10188
Another "fleshed out" figure and tries to catch Peter Cushing's gaunt features here and I think it does a pretty good job. I really like this one, the only slight problem being it isn't instantly recognisable, but in all fairness there's only so much you can do with a 4cm minifig.
Note the rank on the torso, spot on, so beware if eBuying this fig and check the rank has six blue squares followed below by three red and then three orange. |
